Step 8: Moisturizer — Lock In Hydration & Strengthen Your Barrier

Why Moisturizer Matters as Step 8

After applying all your active ingredients (serums, ampoules, eye cream), it’s time to seal everything in. Moisturizer is the step that locks in hydration, repairs the skin barrier, and prevents moisture loss — making it one of the most important steps in your Glass Skin routine.

Benefits of Using Moisturizer

  • Locks in All Previous Steps — Moisturizer creates a protective layer that prevents the hydration and actives from evaporating.
  • Strengthens the Skin Barrier — A healthy barrier protects against environmental damage, pollution, and irritation.
  • Prevents Dryness & Tightness — Especially important after exfoliation and using active serums.
  • Improves Skin Texture & Glow — Well-moisturized skin looks smoother, plumper, and more radiant.
  • Customizable by Skin Type & Season — Gel moisturizers for oily skin, rich creams for dry skin, and lightweight lotions for normal/combination skin.

How to Use (Step 8)

  1. After your eye cream has absorbed, take an appropriate amount of moisturizer.
  2. Apply evenly across your face and neck using gentle upward motions.
  3. For extra dry areas, you can layer a small amount of facial oil on top (optional Step 9).
  4. Use morning and night. In the morning, follow with sunscreen (Step 10).

Pro Tip: Choose your moisturizer based on your skin type and the season: - Oily/Combination skin → Gel or gel-cream moisturizers - Dry skin → Rich creams with ceramides and oils - Normal skin → Lightweight lotion or cream - Dehydrated skin → Look for hyaluronic acid + ceramides
